It's 1972 on Furikyu Island, and you're just getting started. A jazz-hop record spins up. Your deranged mentor lights his cigarette. Slash every enemy before it burns out. One-hit-kills, no mistakes... well, maybe a few.
About Sick Samurai Demo
Sick Samurai is a blisteringly fast, one-hit-kill action game. Dash through enemies, slash them open, time your runs with burning cigarettes, and survive your mentor’s deranged trials in a blood-splattered, jazz-infused sample from the full memoir.
Sick Combat: Slash and dash through opponents at incredible speeds. Wield secondary weapons - like the kunai and stun bombs - and kick objects at enemies to shift the odds in your favor. When the time is right, unleash the Girameki technique. Blink, and you'll die.
Sick Strategies: Each of the demo's four handcrafted combat levels offers multiple paths and strategies. You'll choose between an upgrade and a new secondary weapon as you face increasingly challenging opponents. Master your routes to finish before your mentor burns through his cigarette, and earn an elite rating.
Sick Storytelling: Meet the game's main cast of fully voice-acted characters: There's Genyu, the infamous ex-samurai who’s taken you under his wing, Jones, a “former” gangster turned proprietor of a jazz bar, and Spike, Jones’ disagreeable Rottweiler. Shape your relationships through branching dialogue choices — and if you’re persistent, uncover a couple of hidden secrets.
Sick Aesthetics: This demo features 8 original tracks from Sick Samurai's lofi soundtrack. Blending the vibes of hip hop, jazz, funk, soul, and more, with hand-drawn, retro anime-style art, the world of Sick Samurai will take you back to a surreal reimagining of the golden age.

Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Sick Samurai Demo is free right now on Steam, with nothing to pay.
Is this the full game?
No. A demo is a portion of Sick Samurai Demo — usually the opening section — published so you can try it. It is free permanently, but it is not the complete game.
Where do I claim it?
On the official Steam page. We link straight there — we never host game files or act as a middleman.
